Adults with Developmental Disabilities

  • 2,380 receive Service Coordination/Case Management.
  • 1,044 receive 24-hour Comprehensive Services including foster care, residential services, and comprehensive in-home supports.
  • 879 receive Community Support/Brokerage Services.
  • 1,456 are known to be waiting for services.


Children (0-18) with Developmental Disabilities

  • 1,011 receive Service Coordination/Case Management.
  • 206 receive 24-hour Comprehensive Services including foster care, residential, and comprehensive in-home supports.
  • 30 receive Intensive In-Home Supports, which includes children who require significant supports because of behavior or medical needs.
  • 284 receive Family Support Services, which include respite care or other assistance to help children in family homes.
  • 175 families are eligible but not receiving Family Support Services.

Approximately 7,015 people in Multnomah County experience a developmental disability.

Services to people with developmental disabilities contribute more than $68 million dollars per year to the local economy through jobs, wages, and the purchase of services and supplies in Multnomah County.
